Full Description

East of Kinoulton Road. Eastern field has a very uneven surface with numerous mounds and hollows. Some distinct hollows appear to be borrow pits for gypsum. Central field has borrow pits across field. West of Kinoulton Road, occasional borrow pits. The land to the south of this area was reputedly open cast mined for gypsum in the 1950s. (1)
