Full Description

Remains of a C9-C10 churchyard cross are built, 9ft above ground level, into a nave buttress of Costock parish church. Designs of crosses, reflecting an Irish influence, are exposed on 2 faces. (1) (2)
The above cross fragments positioned not in a buttress but in the chancel/ nave projection in the S wall of the church at SK 5744526459. (3)
