The marks, probably IA/Ro, comprise an apparent drove with adjacent plots. They are located on a slightly elevated ridge of gravel in the Trent flood plain. The majority of the site is in a field that is permanent pasture, having remained unploughed since the 1939-45 war. (2)
Under excavation. A complex of rectangular enclosures (site 3) covering some 3.5Ha was laid out on both sides of an E-W trackway in C2 AD. These enclosures formed the final phase of a settlement which originated in the IA and went through at least 3 phases of development. (3) (5)
