Full Description

Circular feature with linear features. (1)
Area covered by these marks is mainly under cereal crop with the occasional pasture break. A lengthy perambulation was completed but no surface finds of note were made, the crop, though windswept, has a fairly constant height. The ring ditch, now under pasture, exhibits no surface traces. The tenant farmer has no knowledge of the markings and knows of no finds. The area has an open aspect, is situated above and adjacent to the Trent flood plains and the linear ditches almost certainly indicate IA/Ro occupation. The ring ditch cannot, at this time, be classified. (2)
Morph: 191.8.1 Enclosure (shows a double ring ditch). (3)
See L8385, 8387-90 for cross refs to rest of complex.
