Full Description

C2 Ro pottery, roof tiles, fragments of mosaic, and a quern found during gravel extraction. (1)
Roman pottery sherds of grey, C2, and Samian types, roof tiles, small fragments of mosaic (lost) found in Adbolton Gravel Workings by H Shipman in September 1955. (2)
The finds appear to suggest the possibility that this is the site of a villa. (3)
NB Above grid ref not in gravel pit area.
