Full Description
A second specimen (of Anglo-Saxon brooch) of the same type (as one from Brough) but not so well preserved, is the only Anglo-Saxon relic as yet found at Castle Hill / Margidunum. (1)
Anglo Saxon fibula from Margidunum (ill - the one described above). (2)
The only other (Anglo Saxon) object is a quoit-brooch style pelta ornament found in the top layer of the SE rampart. (3) (4)
