Full Description

Gates, gate piers and flanking walls. 1862. By C. A. Buckler for F. W. Webb. (1)
The main gate piers are octagonal on plan, of coursed ashlar with decorative domed tops with lozenge patterns and upstanding ribs setting off from a moulded base. These are surmounted by decorative finials. There are four of these: one on either side of the main double gates to the drive, and one at either end of the attached screen walls which contain doorways. (2)
