Full Description

Records date from 1363, but the present stone structure is basically of c.1500. Originally divided by a surviving stud partition running up the whole height of the house into a full-height hall with a two-storey section at the S end. Also intact the roof and a timber-framed firehood at the N end of the hall. Much altered in the C17, when the upper floors were inserted, and later, when the N-S partitions and the staircase were put in. Plain C19 service wing. (1)
