Full Description

Village cross, C14. (1)
Remains of a market cross 70m west of the Church of St Peter and St Paul. It is of a stepped form and medieval in date. (2)
Gringley cross, standing on a little green near the church, consists of three steps, a sort of double plinth, and a fine, tall, octagonal shaft, apparently perfect except that the surmounting capital and cross are absent. Excepting only the one at Newark, this is doubtless the best surviving example of a Gothic cross in the whole county. (3)
