Full Description
George Savile Foljambe ... in 1821 he came to Osberton, which was his home until his death in 1869. In memory of his first wife [he] built a church … on the site of Scofton Hall. This church was consecrated … in 1833. (1)
After the death of his first wife in 1830 … George Savile Foljambe … commissioned the architect Ambrose Poynter of London (1796 - 1886) to build a church at Scofton-cum-Osberton in her memory. (2)
The church … was built in 1833 for George Savile Foljambe, whose son gave many memorial windows to his wife. The architect was Ambrose Poynter. (3)
