Full Description
In 1761 [Worksop Manor] was replaced by part of a splendid Palladian composition by James Paine. In 1839 … the wing of twenty-three bays was pulled down. All that remains is … the pieced-together sculpture of the pediment, drawn by the Duchess and carved by William Collins in 1765. (1)

Just wondering if you have anymore information on this as my ancestors were Wheelwrights in Newark and we are trying to trace more about then, Was hoping this might have been their premises. Regards Amanda Odling
