Full Description

1889-90 by J. A. Chatwin of Birmingham for Earl Cowper of Beauvale. Ambitious Dec. Massive NW tower with an open belfry. Oak-shingled spire added in 1891. (1)
4 samples (beam slices) were collected in 1983. Felling date of 3 samples were 1645, 1730 and 1915. There was no matching between samples. (2)
The nave … and the NW tower were added to a chancel of the 1880's by Louis Ambler in 1909. Without a spire. Stone. In 1887 the present chancel, organ chamber and vestries were opened for use. Foundation stone of nave laid in a ceremony held on 26.07.1909. (3)
