ALMSHOUSE (Early 20th Century to Late 20th Century) Six homes for retired miners. Designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield and built in 1925. Built by Sir Julien Cahn. Half-butterfly plan. Brick built with ashlar dressings. Single storey with hipped roofs. Also known as Sir Julian Cahn Homes Of Rest.
