Full Description

Manor house, now 2 cottages. Early C17 with additions mid C18 and C20. (1)
Manor cottages incorporate the remains of a timber-framed building of two distinct phases. The first phase, possible medieval, remains as a single post that possibly originally formed part of a truss in a cross-wing. The second phase, of the C16 survives mainly as a close-studded wall of a main range attached to the suggested wing. Later rebuilding has removed all the timber framing from the south wall except one post. Some timbers were reused in the early-mid C19 when the house was largely rebuilt. (2)
