Full Description

Flintham Hall … Enlarged by Lewis Wyatt in 1829. Beyond the walled garden, Wyatt's aviary. (1)
Aviaries. Mid C19. Adjoining garden walls, early C19. (2)
Dovecote, in aviary at Flintham Hall. (3)
Frescoes were painted in the two-storey projecting bay in 1988 by Ricardo Cinalli an Argentinian-born artist known for his Neoclassical paintings. The work is also signed by G. Gorostiga. A painted architecture frieze runs around the lower approx. 1.5m of the wall and above are scenes for men reclining and relaxing to the east wall. To the north wall a man is pictured holding a horse while other men erect a fluted column. The west wall also contains a scene in the same style. The associated garden wall has a central cavity and was heated(NCC BAR Survey 21.12.2018)
