Some large gargoyles in the churchyard wall are worthy of notice. (1)
Wall, gargoyles and gates. C14 and C19. (2)
Pevsner must be referring to the gargoyles when he says that, 'of the old tower, [there are] some fragments in the churchyard' (3). (4)
