Full Description
House with steeply pitched pantile roof with central ridge stack. Entrance to the rear. NE elevation is of blue lias stone to the ground floor and rendered above. One small four-light casement window and brick infilled window to the right. SE gable end has been partly rebuilt since 2009. 12-light sliding sash to SE gable end. Brick lean-to extension to the NW end with 3 two-light casement windows and pantile roof. NW gable end is rendered with a two-light window and exposed horizontal timber. (1)
North Notts vernacular cottage with Lias walls and timber framed and rendered upper floor, one and a half storey with steep pitched roof with a central chimney. Single storey extension added in early 1900’s. A post pad survives in the north-east corner, the rendered north elevation is stepped back from the Lias below and is suggestive of timber-framing and, the west gable has evidence for a clasped purlin roof structure.
