Full Description

A bronze socketed axehead was found at SK 491482 by JB Crooks in 1966. It was encased in a 1/4-1/2in layer of cream coloured plaster-like material, which was presumably the remains of its mould (removed by finder). (1)
The axe is still in the possession of the finder. He indicated the findspot as above. (2)
