[In] 6 Eliz (1564) … William Wylde [held] the Mannor of Netylworth. The old mansion here … was pulled down, and the present ... house erected in 1785, by the late Mr. Wylde, who [was] dying when it was nearly completed. (4)
Site visit 14.04.2004. A reset datestone in the surviving rear wing of the manor house reads '1566 W W'. (5)
