Chapel of coursed stone. Over-size windows with stone lintels and cills. Door has large, square over-light. Hipped roof with replacement slate (at some point between May 2019 and June 2021 according to Street View). Timber casement windows with leaded stained glass to all the upper lights and leaded glass under, including the door overlight have been replaced with plain glass at some point between April 2023 and March 2025 (SV). Large decorative porch to the end wall with arched windows and arched overlight over the door with keystone design. Incised panels over the door read 'METHODIST FREE CHURCH'. The panels rest on Ionic style capitals on square pilasters. The deeply recessed arched windows have leaded glass in a diamond pattern (3 opening to the right of the door and 3 facing the road. (1)
Present format involves tall single storey stone building, with hipped slate roof, with extension to northeast, flat roofed parapet entrance, with pattern of 3no. leaded light separate arched windows, with leaded light set far back in reveals each with a large raised keystone, and rectangular surround and single continuous sill to range, 8 panelled timber door with semi-circular fanlight, with large keystone and side keystones, with protruding surround and triangular pediment, altered with added timber cladding to parapet. Attached to southwest is a lower in height single storey brick gable end building, connected to a flat roofed structure, connected to flat roofed 2-storey brick area. (2)
