Full Description
Thomas Dickinson Hall … commenced the task of systematically remodelling the village according to contemporary picturesque taste. Rose Cottage, Whatton, inscribed over the porch 'T.D.H. 1841', [is] a typical example of the Halls' estate cottages. (1)
