Full Description

c 1830 an earthenware vase was found 18in below the surface in a field. The coins were well preserved, and covered the period from Nero to Trajan (AD 54- 117) for the most part. There were also some Republican coins, and a counterfeit coin of the reign of Vespasian (AD 70-79). (1)
In recent years the field has been opencasted and is now built over. No finds were made in watching this work. Nothing of significance was seen at the find spot which now falls in a garden of the local authority's housing estate. (2) (3)
