Full Description
Two-storey rendered house with clay pantile gable roof with catslide to rear. All windows are replacement casement windows with leaded panes; Principal Elevation (to road) has 3 to first floor and 2 to ground floor. Central door infilled (post 1968) and over light now a central window. Rise & fall brackets survive. Rear (north side) of house has main entrance with C20 wooden canopy. Gable end chimney stack to the west and external chimney flue to the east. Original boundary brick wall (though reduced in height) has rounded coping bricks and stone copings at corner and edges with cottage name incised into the stone. Original rear doorstep, with tread-wear, survives between the lounge and the hall. This rear door originally led to a passage (now internal hall) between 2 outbuildings, probably an outside toilet and coal house. Now incorporated within the house along with a later C19 extension to the east which created a third bedroom. (1) Early OS maps show another extension to the east. (2)
