Full Description

Hardwick Grange is shown in a survey of 1629 in much the same position as the present buildings. This survey shows a mill leat coming off the river upstream and rejoining it close to Hardwick Grange House suggesting that there had been a mill close to the house prior to this. There are earlier documentary references to a mill here. (1)
