Full Description

A hoard of 25 Ro coins (originally 180) from Commodus to Tetricus I, were found in a jar in the railway cutting now called Rushcliffe Halt, Sutton Bonington, by EW Campion about 1895. The jar was in red ware with yellow white slip and marked flutings on the side. Now in Birmingham Museum. (1) (2)
This hoard is on loan to Birmingham and is shortly to be recalled and placed in a local museum. (3) (4)

4 bronze Roman coins , C3 Gallienus, found c 1890 in cutting raiilway tunnel near East Leake, in private possesssion (Costock). (Plainly from this hoard). (6)
