Full Description

Church Street … some sensitively designed modern buildings. The health centre (1972-4) is … CLASP, but cleverly integrating an existing stone wall and re-using stone and paving setts. The green slate-hanging … was found locally at the demolished Sherwood Hall (County Architect: H. T. Swain). (1)
2-storey, flat roofed building. Stone ground floor, vertical hung slate to upper storey, similar overhang to library support supported on posts but here recessed elements are staggered, with window/doors underneath. Upper storey windows are a protruding rectangle format with black panelled sides. Slates came from the demolished Sherwood Hall. (2)
