Full Description

Named 'Marlock' on (1) and 'Marlock House' on (2).
Enclosure in Lowdham … the Act [was] presented and passed in 1765. Within a few years the major proprietors began to establish farmhouses of considerable size upon their new allotments. The first to do so was the Duke of Kingston, who caused to be built upon the larger of his two allotments 'Marlock House'. It still stands, and carries in the east gable end the date of its erection, 1770. (3)
