Full Description

St Giles … A specially enjoyable selection of engraved slate headstones in the churchyard. (1)
12 headstones, three signed 'JW', 'Daykin' and 'W. Haywood'. Range from Robert Clerk d.1705 to Robert Singlehurst d.1794. (2)
William Haywood … His earliest signed stone is at West Bridgford, to Joseph [sic] Marrot d.1742. It is pure scrivener's work, with a Gothic "Here" and the inscription running continuously. (3)
