Full Description

During topsoil removal N of the river, an 8 m x 3 m paved area of different sized limestone blocks was exposed. The road appears to run SW-NE towards the river, and would have been unsuitable for wheeled traffic. It may have originally joined up with a large stone structure set into the bend of the N bank, made up of limestone blocks 6m in length 1m in width (a ferry jetty?). No dating evidence was found. In a field just S of this is what looks like a pack horse bridge (M17551). (1)
Grid ref for trackway.
See L9557 for nearby building rubble.
