Cross base and mounting block with plaques … commemorating the building of the new Bestwood Lodge in the 1860's and the visit there of the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1878. (1)
As 'Bestwood Lodge was built … in 1862-5' (2), this cannot possibly predate 1862. (3)
