Named 'School'. (2)
Henry Walter, by his will dated 10th April 1688, founded … Haughton Grammar School. (3)
The school was erected in 1692, but replaced by a modern building in 1878. (4)
Plaque above door reads in part "This schoole house was y gift of Henry Walter, gent … who was steward to y … Earles of Clare. Built an dom 1692". (5)
