Full Description
A stone-lined privy or cess-pit 1.26 x 1.5m and 1.36m deep. This had been carefully constructed of Lias limestone blocks set in clay. The pit had been filled with stones and tiles as well as excrement, but only two small sherds of pottery were recovered, both of them dating from the late C16 or early C17. (1) (2)
