The old manor at Woodborough was formerly known as Nether Hall and was one of three manors in the village at the time of the Domesday Survey. … by C17 the house was a substantial two-storey dwelling, possibly with a thatched roof, which was later replaced by a tiled roof with dormer windows …the old house was demolished in 1965 and a new housing development built on the site, known as Old Manor Close.
