Full Description

Fieldwalking identified clusters of burnt stone and some more general scatters. Five of these clusters lie on sandy ridges adjacent to deeper peat areas. The quantity of burnt stone, and the locations, are typical of burnt mounds. (1)
No upstanding mound of burnt material and stone survived. (2)
Grid reference for northenmost cluster, others to S lying along the W hedge of the same field and in next field S.
