Full Description

A WW2 bomber crashed near Staunton, 18/02/1943. Sid Baggeley had witnessed the accident during the war, and had kept several pieces of wreckage from the plane. These consisted of a piece of aluminium fuselage and a small piece of Bakelite. Serial numbers on the aluminium fragment were traceable to aircraft W4270, based at Syerston airfield. (1)
