Full Description

Gilbert de Arches (of Grove), by the consent of Gilbert his son and heir, gave to the church of Wellebec, together with his body, his whole land of Gledethorp, and Thomas, son of Ralph de River, gave his whole land there. (1)
Most of the Medieval pottery and tileā€¦came from both sides of the farm (Gleadthorpe Grange) bridge, and some was found further down the river (no details of types or quantities given). (2)
A sherd of tile with green glaze on one surface indicating either a ridge or floor tile of medieval date. The medieval tile is doubtless in a secondary context, but it reflects the proximity to the medieval grange which probably lies under the current farm buildings 40m to the N. (3)
See M15097 for current buildings of Gleadthorpe Grange.
