Full Description

A series of pits, enclosure ditches, a ring gully. … The features in area 2 may be part of a small IA farmstead with associated enclosures. The pottery was generally of middle Iron Age date with a few pieces of early Iron Age pottery also present, indicating perhaps an undiscovered early IA presence nearby. Undatable pieces of fired clay were present in several features and are indicative of domestic activity often deriving from hearths, ovens or loom weights. Environmental evidence suggests a small agricultural settlement with the presence of barley, oats and wheat. (1)
See M18370 for burnt mound.
