Full Description

A large pit some 115m N of the northernmost recorded grave, interpreted as a Grubenhaus. Just 4m from the SW limit of the NW block of ground designated for preservation. May represent a corner of the Anglo-Saxon settlement which would surely have complimented the cemetery. If so, quite inadvertently, a good part of that settlement may have been saved from destruction. (1)
