Full Description

Trench 3, at 7.2m from the W end was an irregular pit, the bulk of the feature apparently lying outside the trench. At the maximum depth reached (1.40m below ground level) a fragment of buff glazed stoneware with a brown stripe was retrieved, probably of C19 date ... interpreted as a well because it coincided with the map location of a pump installed in the late C19 to service the allotments.
