Full Description

The archaeological features detected in trenches 11 and 14 indicate that the central area of the N field was a focus of medieval activity. This would appear to be relatively discreet. The presence of pits and post holes, in addition to the ditches, suggests that we are viewing the residue of domestic or industrial activity, rather than features directly associated with medieval field systems. See M1386 for shrunken village.
