Full Description

Many of the features on the site are P Med or Mod in date. Structural evidence was in the form of a brick-lined well and fireplace. The Tithe Map of Ratcliff from 1850 clearly shows two farmsteads situated on the site. The buildings had been demolished by the time the 1900 OS map was published. This map also shows a well on the site. Presumably this correlates to the unexcavated well in the S corner of the site. (1)
