Full Description

Maltings. Erected in 1861 and designed by William Grace for the former Hardy's Brewery. (1)
Of particular interest are the…maltkilns as no other sites are known to have ones operating simultaneously using different patterns, in this case Newark pattern and Ware pattern and to have interlinking storage. Baltic timber consignment marks are present within the malthouses and brewery (deliberately used in the buildings to enable the marks to be clearly viewed) (2)
