Erected in 1867 as the first hospital in the Mansfield area…. converted to a public house in the C20. (1)
Present on the 1879 Ordnance Survey. (2)
Fourways is a two-storey building of stone construction and has a number of different connecting elevations. Ithas a pitched, tiled roof and large decorative chimneys. There is a substantial bay window on the Butt Laneelevation, and a gable-end and porch facing Leeming Lane South. The window openings have stone surrounds,cills, lintels and mullions, but are currently boarded up. (3)
