Full Description

Located on the eastern side of Baker Street is the early 18th century stone built corn mill formerley known as Croft Mill. The building has undergone substantial alteration as part of its conversion to domestic and retail use with blocked openings and inserted windows throughout and a new shopfront inserted at ground floor level. However, the building remains of historic interest in the development of the town (Hucknall Town Centre Improvement Scheme Environmental Statement, volume 2, Part 3)
This mill, also known as Croft Mill, was received by Ralph de Crumewell in 1331 who enlarged the dam. It was sold by the Rollestons of Watnall c 1810. In use until 1880s. The existing building is now a jewellers and private house. There are no machinery remains. (2)
