Full Description

..a roughly hewn sandstone wall, aligned east to west, 0.6m wide by 0.4m high. It comprised slabs of unshaped stone arranged in a non-uniform manner without mortar. There was probably occupation on the site prior to the first building during the late 17th century, as suggested by the high level of residual pottery. However, the first building was not established until the early 19th century and was at least partially demolished in the early 19th century. This was likely to have been a small cottage or ancillary building such as a shed or barn. (1)
