Summary

A slight building platform was recorded during topographic survey at Abbey Farm, Mattersey in 1997. This may be connected to a rubble spread found by geophysics and represent an earlier farm building on the site.

Full Description

The debris spread to the north of the farmhouse partly coincides with a slight platform at the south-west of the holloway. This could represent an earlier farm building and debris spread from its collapse/robbing. (1) (2)
