Full Description

NCC workers were carrying out some repairs to the bridge which carries the A616 over Gorge Dyke in Wellow and reported that they had seen some timbers in the construction. Timbers are quite possibly a C20 lintel, over what appears to be Victorian or C20 brickwork, before the tunnel carrying the dyke then gives way to older C19 vaulted brickwork. The underside image appears to show sawn timbers. (1)
