Full Description

Row of 7 (now demolished) former weavers’ cottages of late 18th century with late 19th and 20th century alterations. Local building materials, particularly magnesian limestone were used in their construction with brick used in parts. The cottages retained original weaver’s windows, an original pantry and possible washing area. The buildings served a cottage industry function with domestic residences below. Later conversion to full domestic use. (1)
