Full Description

Late C19 Lodge appearing on OS maps from 1900. (1)
Constructed of rock faced stone blocks with dressed stone capping and bandcourse at low level. Some of the stone cills and heads to windows have been replaced. Above the windows are stone relieving arches. Roof of natural slate and roll top clay ridge tiles. Stone built bays with steeply pitched roofs. The square bay on the main front elevation with carved detail parapet covered with a lead roof. The rear bay has a copper roof. Windows have carved stone features to cills, jambs, transoms, mullions and tracery. The windows are a mixture of metal lights and timber casements with some glazing let directly into the stonework. Doors are timber boarded doors. (2)
