Full Description
C19 with C20 addition. Ashlar with ashlar dressings. Neoclassical 4-storey building with central straight pediment with dentilated cornice. Art Deco style addition above. Metal framed casement windows. C20 shop front. Formerly Mansfield Library. (1)
4-storey, Portland stone, with stylised pilasters to outer bays, with 1st/2nd continuous window surrounds, tall windows to 1st floor 6/3/6, 6 paned windows to 2nd floor, single window with protruding stepped lintel and sills to 3rd floor, central recessed 3 bays are separate from each other by giant Ionic columns, with square outer Doric columns, these all support plain entablature above which is a stepped corning and carved panel with curved flag pole. Recessed bays contain taller marginal light window ranges 9/9/6, above is a stepped stone panel. (2)
